Rebecca Klein is a Queens-based freelance journalist who primarily covers education, labor and politics. She most recently worked as a senior reporter for HuffPost. Before joining HuffPost, Rebecca worked at the New York public radio station, WNYC.
Rebecca’s work has been recognized by organizations like the Online News Association and the Education Writers Association and she frequently appears on panels, radio programs and podcasts to discuss her reporting. Rebecca is an adjunct professor at Five Towns College, teaching investigative and multimedia journalism to undergraduate students; and an adjunct professor at NYU, teaching feature writing to graduate students.
Rebecca volunteers as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters NYC and for the OpEd Project, an organization that works to increase the range of voices in newspapers’ opinion sections.
